The programme lasts for 6 semesters (3 years) and totals 180 CP.
 

Definition of the basic aims of the programme:

  • Education of sports education teachers for work in outside school activities in primary schools
  • Education of sports education teachers for work in outside school activities in secondary schools
  • Education of sports education teachers for work in outside school activities in other educational institutions and programmes
  • Education of sports education teachers for work in sports programmes intended  for children and young people in the private sector
     

General competences gained in the course of the programme:

  • Ability to work in a team and communicate well
  • Flexible use of knowledge in practice
  • Knowledge of institutional demands (school legislation, other legislation)
  • Knowledge of sport of children and young people and knowledge of the school system as a whole and understanding of educational concepts
  • Use of general pedagogic strategies of action and didactic approaches as well as taking account of social frameworks of lessons
  • Knowledge of developmental psychology (understanding of developmental characteristics, differences and needs of children)
  • General organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of ethics and codices of the professional field

  • Knowledge of didactics of individual sports that are included in the syllabus for sports education
  • Organizational abilities and knowledge needed to perform school and outside school sports programmes
